Overview

The Summit at Snoqualmie is the Pacific Northwest's premier multi mountain ski resort, located 47 miles east of Seattle at Snoqualmie Pass. The property spans five base areas and 20 chairlifts across Summit West, Summit Central, Summit East, and Alpental within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. A four-season operating model includes a mountain bike park and one of the most accessible ski destinations in North America.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The HR Administrator provides administrative support for various Human Resources processes and programs. This position works closely with the HR Team to support day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment and staffing, onboarding and orientation, employee records, uniforms, and employee communications. The HR Administrator helps ensure assigned tasks and administrative processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Long Term Thinking

  • Assists with maintaining HR forms, resources, standard operating procedures, and other departmental documentation.
  • Identifies routine process or documentation needs and brings them to the attention of the appropriate HR team member.

Excellence in Execution

  • Provides administrative support for the new hire and rehire process.
  • Performs daily uniform distribution activities and assists with maintaining the uniform inventory control system.
  • Maintains employee files, records, forms, and other HR documentation.
  • Assists with preparing routine reports and tracking information as requested by the HR Team.

Attitude is Everything

  • Responds to general employee questions and directs employees to the appropriate HR team member or resource as needed.
  • Assists with maintaining employee communications, including the employee website and newsletters.
  • Maintains a professional, approachable, and helpful presence when supporting employees and leaders.

Develop Great People

  • Provides administrative support for onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Assists with international employee programs and related documentation as needed.
  • Supports employee communication and recognition activities.

Serve First

  • Provides day-to-day administrative support to the HR Team.
  • Assists with the planning, setup, and execution of employee events.
  • Provides timely and courteous assistance to employees and supervisors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Must have computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, and database programs
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles, recruiting, and some event logistics helpful
  • Ability to set priorities and adapt to changes in a quick, professional manner
  • Must show demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential material.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and relate effectively with a very diverse group of team members.
  • Adheres to confidentiality policies within Human Resources, and ensures the HR database is accurate and secure.
  • Uses independent judgment, initiative, and good human relations and problem solving skills in the application and follows through on actions.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Includes appropriate people in conversations
  • Background Check Required.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to multitask in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. Not required but recommended bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree or 1-2 years experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is essentially an indoor clerical position. There are times the HR Specialist will be required to move between base areas or work off-site.

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is: $24 - $26/DOE
