Recruitment Background

In line with this, as we strengthen our internal disability support team, we are now recruiting a new contract employee supporter who will support and guide each member (employees with disabilities) in their daily work and help foster their growth.

Main Job Responsibilities

You will be part of the disability support team (a department responsible for light tasks such as administrative support) and will primarily be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Instruction and progress management of work
  • Initiating tasks, giving instructions, and creating procedure instructions for members (employees with disabilities)
  • Managing the progress and quality check of daily tasks (such as PC input, document organization, shipping operations, and light in-office tasks)
  • Counseling, mental care, and lifestyle guidance
  • Conducting regular one-on-one meetings (1on1) to detect early changes in physical condition and mental health
  • Encouraging and providing feedback to maintain and improve work motivation
  • Relationship building and external coordination
  • Information sharing and coordination with support organizations (such as disability employment and life support centers)
  • Reporting to internal departments and addressing challenges to ensure retention
  • Team operation support
  • Creating and managing daily and weekly reports, and supporting administrative tasks

Required Skills and Experience (Requirements)

[Must-have Requirements]

  • Practical experience in employment support, guidance, or life support for people with disabilities (at least 1 year) (e.g., experience as a counselor at a company promoting disability employment, at a job transition support organization, or at a welfare facility)
  • Basic PC skills (data entry with Word and Excel, sending and receiving business emails)
  • Ability to communicate flexibly and persistently while respecting diverse values and individuality

[Wanted Requirements]

  • Individuals with any of the following qualifications:
    • Disability Vocational Life Consultant
    • Job Coach (Workplace Adaptation Assistant)
    • Mental Health Counselor, Social Welfare Counselor
    • Career Consultant, Industrial Counselor
  • Experience in administrative or managerial roles at a general company, or experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff
  • Basic English proficiency for daily conversation (not mandatory, but there are situations where it can be useful in a global environment)

  • Someone who can provide empathetic support by putting themselves in the other person's position and actively listening
  • Someone who can maintain an objective perspective to encourage self-reliance as a professional, without being swayed by emotions
  • Someone who values teamwork and can smoothly coordinate, report, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Working Conditions and Benefits

  1. Employment Type: Contract Employee (※Opportunity to become a regular employee / Contract renewal: 1 year)
  2. Work Location: Kikuyo Town, Kikuchi District, Kumamoto Prefecture (JASM Headquarters) ※No transfer required
  3. Working Hours: 8:30 to 17:30 (8 hours of actual work, 1 hour for break)
  4. Days Off and Holidays: Full two-day weekend system (Saturday, Sunday, and holidays), Paid Leave, Year-End and New Year Holidays, Maternity and Parental Leave
