Job Description

The HPD Support Specialist I performs daily clerical tasks that support the Holstein Door Facility as well as the Neenah and Hagerstown sites. They also serve as a liaison to customer service. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Set up hardware codes for hardware entry requested from CSC detailing for all door sites.
    • That entails analyzing templates and opening applications
    • Creating a drawing(s) for the device
    • Creating a Hardware Master and Machining file which ties in the drawing(s) created
    • Create template scan documents to reflect information from set up and program
  • Trouble shoots entry issues daily with CSC and handles any system corrections.
  • Inventories wire sent to VT by customers for installation. This includes measuring and possibly tagging wire at shop/door level and comparing to door drawings for accurate measurements.
  • Reviews CVR and Non-Standard report from production drops for scheduling issues.
  • Enters Build Shop and Test Shops.
  • Works closely with production managers, supervisors and leads on hardware and VALAD issues as well as Cam data issues that may need to be addressed with CSC team members.
  • Responsible for investigating door claims brought from tech services and CSC team members on doors that have shipped.
  • Assist with ERP implementation.
  • Available to work 8 hours per day 5 days a week with occasional overtime
  • Support 5S/Lean program keeping organized work station

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
