HPC & AI OM Specialist (Global OM Ops)This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition

Leads execution alignment across Order Management, Supply Chain, and Business Units by governing prioritization, managing escalations, and enabling efficient fulfillment of high-impact orders. Drives data-based decision making for constrained supply environments, ensuring optimal allocation of materials aligned with business priorities and revenue targets. Acts as a central coordination point for strategic programs, translating business requirements into actionable execution plans within OM and Supply Chain systems.

Responsibilities

1. BU & Program Alignment

  • Act as primary OM point of contact for assigned BUs (e.g., PCAI, GreenLake)
  • Translate BU priorities into structured OM actions (P20/P30 governance, escalation handling)
  • Ensure alignment with executive-driven prioritization frameworks and allocation strategies

2. Prioritization Governance & Control

  • Enforce prioritization policies (P10/P20/P30) ensuring compliance with approval frameworks
  • Review and validate escalation requests, ensuring proper business justification and readiness
  • Prevent uncontrolled prioritization inflation and maintain governance discipline across regions

3. Supply Constraint & Allocation Management

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, and Demand Steering teams to manage constrained components (e.g., DIMMs, CPUs, SSDs)
  • Analyze backlog, allocation, and supply signals to guide execution decisions
  • Support reallocation strategies to maximize revenue and customer impact

4. Escalation & Execution Management

  • Lead resolution of complex order issues impacting execution (no ESD, past due, shortages)
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (SC, Planning, Care, BU) to unblock orders
  • Drive structured escalation management, ensuring visibility and timely resolution

5. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze backlog, prioritization trends, and execution performance
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for acceleration
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders

6. Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide clear, structured updates to BU, Supply Chain, and OM leadership
  • Simplify complex supply and execution topics into actionable messaging
  • Ensure consistent communication across regions and teams

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps in prioritization, escalation, and execution workflows
  • Drive improvements to reduce manual work, increase automation, and enhance decision-making
  • Support development of tools, dashboards, and reporting capabilities

Management Level Definition

  • Applies advanced subject matter expertise in Order Management, supply constraints, and prioritization governance to solve complex business challenges
  • Works independently on high-impact and ambiguous issues, influencing cross-functional stakeholders
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and may guide other team members in execution and decision-making
  • Exercises strong judgment in balancing business priorities, supply limitations, and operational constraints

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • Typically 4–6+ years of experience in Order Management, Supply Chain, or Operations
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments with global stakeholders

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of Order Management and Supply Chain processes
  • Experience managing prioritization frameworks and escalation workflows
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret backlog, supply, and allocation data
  • Ability to operate effectively under supply-constrained environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (executive-ready)
  • Ability to simplify complex operational topics into clear actions
  • Experience with SAP/S4, reporting tools, and data analysis is preferred
  • High ownership, autonomy, and ability to drive outcomes
