HP Solutions Spend Analyst

The position provides spend management support for HP Solutions Organization, guidance and analytics to the L2 organizations. Partners with the business and finance leadership to drive business improvements through spend management. Manages close processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides accurate and timely end to end spend management support, not limited to flash and close activities.
  • JV’s including accruals and cross charges to help manage cost centers to ensure the right costs are hitting the right locations in the right periods.
  • Supports all spend related activities involved with the MRU’s under his/her scope and post allocated spend.
  • Performs in depth spend analytics and ad hoc analysis to facilitate decision making.
  • Drives internal choice points conversations with the business managers and finance leaders to find opportunities to improve OP.
  • Prepares and communicates spend reporting dashboards to the business and finance community.
  • Effectively manage the post allocated spend E2E.
  • Coordinate the overall close process.
  • Support of Budget roll up, with coordination with the L2s on the spender/funder planning. Including O&Os support.
  • Ad Hoc Org Support and analysis

Regular Output:

  • Month end close daily performance dashboards.
  • Flash adjustments template and narratives.
  • Flash Deck.
  • WW L2 SPEND close deck.

Role Success Metrics:

  • Spend forecasting accuracy.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding / analysis of the Spend by functional area and build strong relationship with business / Finance as a trusted partner.
  • Proactive communication in working with business / Finance and keep due dates for sharing analysis.


Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
