We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swale and Maidstone to assist with the appointment of a Housing Resettlement Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £18.00 - £23.65 per hour

Opportunity for a Housing Resettlement Officer to support individuals and families in moving from temporary accommodation into settled housing. The role involves managing a caseload, providing housing advice, and working with partners to resolve homelessness and support sustainable tenancies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of applicants under the main housing duty
• Assess housing needs and develop personalised housing plans
• Provide advice on housing options including private rent and supported accommodation
• Liaise with landlords and agencies to secure suitable accommodation
• Conduct interviews and home visits where required

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in housing, homelessness, or related services
• Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation (Housing Act 1996 Part VII)
• Excellent communication and case management skills
• Ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
• Full UK driving licence (required for home visits)

• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
