Access Services is hiring a Housing Manager to join our Shared Affordable Independent Living (SAIL) Housing program to serve individuals throughout Bucks County, PA seeking housing stability, independence, and wellness. SAIL is a housing support model that helps individuals secure and maintain affordable community housing while building the skills, supports, and resources needed for successful independent living. Through regular home visits, service coordination, and collaboration with landlords, treatment providers, and community partners, the Housing Manager plays a vital role in helping individuals maintain stable housing and overcome barriers that may impact their long-term success.

Schedule/Location:

  • Full time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 9-5. Will include offsite phone responsibility.
  • Office base in Warminster, PA with daily travel across Bucks County.

Essential Responsibilities of Housing Manager (SAIL Housing):

  • Provide community-based housing support through regular home visits, helping participants build independent living skills and maintain stable housing.
  • Partner with participants to develop and achieve individualized goals that promote housing stability, self-sufficiency, and overall well-being.
  • Coordinate and connect participants to community resources, benefits, healthcare, employment services, and other supports that strengthen long-term housing success.
  • Support participants throughout the housing process, including lease signings, housing transitions, transportation assistance, and preparation for successful tenancy.
  • Serve as a liaison between participants, landlords, treatment providers, and other community partners to promote collaboration and positive housing outcomes.
  • Identify and address barriers to housing stability through advocacy, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and coordination of additional supports or higher levels of care when needed.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, records, and reporting requirements while actively participating in case reviews and program collaboration.

Other:

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, and work scheduled overtime, or be available for unplanned overtime as necessary, to meet program needs.
  • This position requires the ability to travel during a normal workday to successfully carry out responsibilities. Therefore, employees will need to drive their personal vehicle and/or an agency vehicle to meet these expectations. Employees are expected to always drive safely, to meet eligibility criteria in Motor Vehicle Policy, and to successfully pass the agency’s substance abuse screening at any time during employment.

Requirements

The selected candidate must meet all qualifying and ongoing job criteria including background checks and a driving history record.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field is required. Related work experience may be considered as a replacement for education requirement.

Experience:

  • One year of relevant experience in affordable housing or human services is required.
  • Experience working in the housing system in Bucks County is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate well.
  • Ability to direct and prioritize own work and be flexible.
  • Knowledge of homelessness and the housing system and the ability to grow and enhance understanding to maximize the excellence of services provided to the individuals served.
  • Knowledge of the human services system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Skills in person-centered screening and assessment.
  • Skills in conflict and crisis resolution.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms and technologies as needed, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Electronic Health Record for documentation of services, and additional programs.

Driving Requirements:

  • A valid US driver’s license for at least two years, not including time with permit.
  • No serious traffic convictions within the past three years. (Serious convictions include, but are not limited to, DUI, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or three or more traffic violations and/or at-fault accidents within that period.)
  • Access to a reliable vehicle during work hours. Vehicle must have valid registration and inspection stickers.
  • Valid auto insurance. You will be asked to provide proof that you are a covered driver on the policy.

Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Work in program sites and the community routinely providing direct care and/or support with individuals.
  • Stand, sit or run by self, or provide proper care and supervision with an individual.
  • Able to move and stay with an individual to keep them safe, both in home environment and community, both at near and far distances, even when an individual may struggle to meet identified expectations.
  • Able to assist an individual who has fallen, regardless of weight or size.
  • Walk, climb stairs by self, or provide direct care and/or support.
  • Work in a standard office environment and utilize desktop computer equipment daily.
  • Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.)
  • Travel to offsite locations and regional office locations if necessary.
