This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Groups awesome housing team in Douglas Bader Park estate in Barnet. Douglas Bader Park is a regeneration estate with exciting challenges. As our Housing Manager, you’ll be the face to face customer support to our communities. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities.
What you’ll do
Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities.
You’ll look after a patch and neighbourhood (ably supported by our Community Housing Assistants).
Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estate, you’ll really get to get to know our community. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhood.
Proactively managing anti-social behaviours on the estate, responding to customer queries and complaints.
Managing our voids process including liaising with the local authority.
Carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.

You have
Have worked in housing before and understand housing management, housing law and in an ideal world, universal credit too!
Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
This job can challenge, especially when we’re dealing with complaints, but your resilience will help you through.
Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MP’s etc
Like being part of a team but appreciate that this is a role where you’ll spend most of your time working in our local estates.

The practical bits
Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with the occasional need to attend customer meetings in the evening.
This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you’ll spend 2 to 3 days working in our community patch of Douglas Bader Park and travelling to manage our temporary accommodation (you will also have the opportunity to work from home to catch up on admin).
There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
