Join our team

We are looking for a Housing Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Housing Repairs and Maintenance team.

If you share our values and you are motivated to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities, we would love to hear from you.

About the role

Babergh and Mid-Suffolk District Councils are going through an exciting period of change, with a new job management system being implemented within our Housing Directorate.

The Housing Repairs and Maintenance Team is part of the wider Housing Directorate and oversees the maintenance of housing repairs and voids with some planned work activities and our in-house trade team is supported by several contractors.

In this pivotal role, you will be reporting directly to our Housing Transformation Manager with an additional reporting line to the Head of Housing Repairs and Maintenance (HRM), ensuring high-quality performance information is available and that relevant regulatory and business-specific requirements are met.

You will support colleagues to engage with performance information and provide advice and assurance on best practices and operational efficiencies.

Additionally, you will maintain, upgrade and manage systems, software, hardware and networks.

About you

To be successful, you will have a relevant qualification at NVQ/HNC/degree level or will demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained through experience.

You will have an inquisitive mind and will go beyond reporting what has happened, by putting performance information into context and generating insights that will drive improvements.

You will be able to offer insight and analyse complex information, drawing conclusions that will make a real difference to service delivery, efficiency and resident experience.

The role is an integral part of developing the Housing Repairs and Maintenance (HRM) insight offer and delivering more sophisticated analysis of the services being provided.

You will have worked in a similar environment and demonstrate experience of delivering data products which support operational colleagues to deliver better services, developing dashboards and reports that allow users to interact with and explore data.
