Your work as a Houseperson directly impacts the guest experience. Your friendly and courteous service, combined with your thorough and prompt cleaning of assigned areas, ensures that every guest enjoys a comfortable and pleasant stay, in line with the Caesars Standards of Operation.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean, polish, dust, and buff public area furniture and furnishings; vacuum and shampoo carpets and fabrics; mop tiled areas; and clean rooms as needed
Remove/empty all trash from public areas, employee landings, and hallways, and ensure room service trays, microwaves, rollaway beds, and cribs are cleared from guest hallways
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of walls, light fixtures, louvers, ceilings, and shelves in public areas, employee landings, stairwells, and storage areas, and report any mechanical deficiencies to the Facilities department and Hotel Housekeeping leadership as needed
Maintain adequate supplies (amenities, linen, etc.) on landings to ensure ample stock for each working day based on department established PAR levels
Operate and maintain all cleaning equipment and report any needed repairs or safety issues to Hotel Housekeeping leadership
Recognize and use appropriate chemicals
Deliver all items requested by guests in a timely manner, consistent with property standards, and delight our guests with outstanding resort-level service
Proper use of the housekeeping tracking systems to receive and track work assignments
Turn in all lost and found items in a timely manner, consistent with the property standard
Secure and return all keys, radios, and handhelds at the end of the shift
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Must be able to use a handheld device and a handheld radio w/earpiece for communication
Must be able to work as a team with other Team Members
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter; must work without close supervision and possess the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Knowledge of housekeeping computer systems and programs
*Not required at time of hire; may be learned in the probationary period agreed upon at the time of hire
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items, work in small, shared office spaces, and walk and stand for long periods
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues and read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds
Must be able to work around dogs/pets
Must be able to work with various cleaning chemicals
Must be able to operate equipment, including, but not limited to, a vacuum cleaner, a mop, and a broom
Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
