This role supports the housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and organization of guest room floors, public areas, and storage closets. This role works closely with Guest Room Attendants by delivering supplies, removing trash, and responding to operational requests.
• Maintain the cleanliness of guest room floors, hallways, elevator landings, and storage closets.
• Restock housekeeping closets with supplies and linens from the hotel warehouse.
• Empty trash cans and transport trash to the designated disposal area.
• Clean hotel areas including:
o Sweeping and collecting debris
o Vacuuming carpets
o Wiping and sanitizing surfaces
o Retrieving glassware and removing clutter
• Support Guest Room Attendants by delivering supplies and removing soiled linens.
• Perform special cleaning projects assigned by supervisors (deep cleaning, carpet care, high dusting, etc.)
• Always follow all safety and security procedures.
• Respond to radio and mobile device communication promptly and professionally.
• Use assigned communication tools or apps to receive assignments, report issues, and update task status.
• Maintain carts, equipment, and closets in clean, organized, and secure condition.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and unusual situations immediately.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English is preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally using radios and an iPhone.
• Ability to stand/ walk for up to 8 hours.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Reliable, energetic, service-focused, and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Overtime or additional hours may be required based on business needs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Push, pull, and carry up to 100 pounds
• Lift items up to 50 pounds overhead.
• Maneuver through crowded casino areas and climb stairs.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and pull throughout the shift.
• Work in environments that may include:
o Secondary smoke exposure
o High heat (80 F)
o Cold temperatures (down to 65 F)
o Elevated noise levels and crowded areas
• Respond appropriately to visual and auditory cues.
• Use and operate vacuums, brooms, floor equipment, and cleaning tools.
• Read labels on chemical bottles and safety instructions.
• Tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing allergic reactions.
• Perform continuous hand/ finger/ wrist motion required for cleaning tasks.
Pay: $19.50 an hour
