The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of assigned guest rooms and public areas while supporting the efficient operation of the Housekeeping department. This role provides attentive, courteous, and efficient service to both internal and external guests and works collaboratively within a team environment to uphold established cleanliness and service standards.

Key responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining public areas such as hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and locker rooms, as well as delivering and retrieving rollaway beds, irons, ironing boards, and other guest-requested items. The Houseperson plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Team Members are expected to deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, engaging proactively with guests, and responding promptly to their needs with professionalism and care. Every interaction should reflect our commitment to building relationships, acting with integrity, exceeding expectations, and working smart to create memorable experiences.

  • Clean and service guest rooms and assigned public areas to established standards
  • Provide courteous, responsive guest service and assist with guest requests
  • Remove trash and used linens; restock room amenities and supplies
  • Safely operate cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Complete required rotations of mattresses, furniture, and soft goods
  • Report maintenance and facility issues promptly
  • Maintain clean, organized maid and linen closets
  • Deliver guest items and assist with cleaning and special projects
  • Perform property clean‑up, including bio‑hazard materials, as required
  • Support operations and assist team members as needed
  • Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and support a safe environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 18 or 21 (varies by property)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 -2 years of cleaning experience.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, generally the duration of a shift.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to successfully pass background screening.
