Job Description

As a Houseman at our distinguished hotel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the housekeeping department and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's cleanliness and maintenance efforts.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist housekeeping staff in cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness and presentation.
2. Prepare guest rooms by arranging furniture, restocking amenities, and ensuring all supplies are readily available for housekeepers.
3. Collect and distribute linens, towels, and other supplies to designated area.
4. Address minor maintenance issues, such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing loose fixtures.
5. Assist housekeepers with heavy lifting, moving furniture, and handling special cleaning tasks as required.
6. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner when encountered in hallways or public areas.
7. Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for staff and guests.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in a housekeeping-related role is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
3. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
4. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet cleaning and setup deadlines.
5. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with housekeeping staff and other hotel departments.
6. Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
