This position is responsible for collecting soiled linens for laundering, re-stocking laundry and hotel room supplies and delivering items to our guests.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

• Collects soiled linen for laundering and transports it to the loading dock
• Flips and rotates mattresses during deep cleaning process
• Weighs and keeps records on clean and soiled linen bins coming in and out of the laundry room
• Responsible for loading and unloading linen bins from the truck at the loading dock
• Maintains and stocks inventory of guest amenities in the storage areas, pick station and laundry room
• Delivers laundry to back landing storage rooms on each hotel floor
• Restocks, organizes and maintains supplies for housekeeping mobile carts
• Maintains and reports needed repairs for assigned equipment, electronics, guest request items, shelving and storage tools
• Maintains the cleanliness and removal of trash from trash compactor
• Separates recycling materials to current standards and procedures

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans, vacuums and dusts high and low areas of work stations
• Assists with cleaning or stripping of hotel rooms, storage rooms, equipment rooms, laundry area, pick station, trash room, mobiles and equipment

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Must have basic math skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Competencies Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Knowledge of Expresso paging/reporting system
• Understanding of inventory control, which includes informing management of discrepancies and stock levels

Training Requirements:

• Understanding of chemical use and safety regulatory procedures
• Knowledgeable on regulatory safety practices on MSDS, OSHA regulations, Hazardous Communication and Blood borne pathogens
• Ability to use a hand held radio and pager
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent reaching, lifting and bending
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
