Job Description

Step Into Leadership as a Housekeeping Supervisor

Join the opening team at Moxy Hotel & Residence Inn Portland Thompson’s Point, a brand-new dual-branded Marriott hotel bringing fresh energy, style, and hospitality to one of Portland’s most exciting waterfront destinations opening Summer 2026. As home to the first Moxy hotel in Northern New England, this is a chance to be part of something new from the very beginning — welcoming guests to a vibrant stay steps from Thompson’s Point’s concerts, events, dining, and culture.

We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to help lead our team at our brand-new hotel. This is your opportunity to take ownership, inspire others, and ensure every guest walks into a space that feels clean, comfortable, and exceptional.

In this role, you’ll be the bridge between leadership and the housekeeping team—coaching, motivating, and setting the standard for excellence every day.

Who We Are

At Colwen Hotels, we’re built on hard work, character, and authenticity. We believe great ideas can come from anywhere, and we empower our teams to bring those ideas to life to elevate the guest experience.

With 40 hotels across 9 states—and more on the horizon—we’re growing fast and creating real opportunities for career advancement. When you join us, you’re not just stepping into a role—you’re stepping into a path for growth.

What You’ll Do

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining quality, driving performance, and supporting your team’s success.

Your day-to-day impact will include:

  • Inspecting guest rooms and public spaces to ensure top-tier cleanliness, safety, and brand standards
  • Leading, coaching, and motivating housekeeping associates to perform at their best
  • Organizing daily assignments and balancing staffing with occupancy needs
  • Supporting the Executive Housekeeper and hotel leadership team
  • Monitoring productivity and conducting self-audits to continuously improve performance
  • Prioritizing room assignments, including VIP arrivals and early check-ins
  • Verifying room status and ensuring accuracy between reports and actual conditions
  • Providing hands-on support to the team, including stepping in to assist when needed
  • Ensuring carts are stocked, organized, and ready for success
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance issues promptly
  • Helping maintain clean and welcoming public spaces
  • Driving guest satisfaction by ensuring every room meets high standards

What You Bring

  • Previous housekeeping or related experience (hotel experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a team-first mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfort learning new systems and using property management software
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Bilingual skills and brand experience are a plus

What We Offer

We believe in supporting our team so you can do your best work:

  • Medical coverage with company-funded HRA
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • 401(k) with Employer Match (Traditional & Roth options)
  • Paid Time Off programs
  • Hotel discounts for you and your family
  • Exclusive discounts on travel, entertainment, and retail
  • Training and development programs
  • Opportunities for career advancement within a growing company
  • Employee Assistance Program and supplemental benefits

Lead the Standard. Shape the Experience.

This is more than a supervisory role—it’s your chance to set the tone for excellence in a newly opened hotel. Your leadership will directly impact team success and guest satisfaction from day one.

If you’re ready to lead with purpose, grow your career, and be part of something exciting from the ground up, we’d love to meet you.
