Housekeeping Supervisor

The Omni Richmond Hotel is currently an experienced individual to join its Housekeeping Department as a Housekeeping Supervisor. The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to ensure that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, public areas, back of house and landings meet Omni's standards. Shift Hours: 12pm - 8:30pm
Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Responsibilities
General responsibilities include, but not limited:

• Inspecting the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and public areas
• Assigning special projects as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Reporting any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.
• Ensuring that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens; as well the linen carts are neat and well-organized
• Assisting in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
• Ensuring that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked, neat, and cleaned.
• Ensuring VIP rooms are inspected ASAP.
• Being knowledgeable about the hotel, facilities and events.
• Ensuring hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.

Qualifications
• Experience planning, scheduling, and supervising the work of a multi-shift housekeeping staff
• Previous Housekeeping Supervisor experience in Hospitality preferred; Minimum of 2 years of Housekeeping experience required.
• Flexible availability including working weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of safety practices in the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Skilled in use of computers including e-mail, Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, such lifting, bending, walking for extended periods of time.
