Housekeeping Supervisor - Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club

Lake Blackshear Resort / Georgia Veterans State Park, located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. Our ideal candidate will be engaged, hands-on, and prepared to operate a "best in class" resort! The housekeeping supervisor reports directly to the Front Office Manager/Rooms Manager.

Lake Blackshear Resort has 24 Villa rooms, 10 lake cabins and 82 camp sites located on beautiful 8800-acre cypress lake with restaurant, bar, off site fitness center, conference center, marina with a lake restaurant, 18 hole-golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, fishing and more. We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. This position promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems. A smile is part of the uniform of all employees!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Oversee staff on a daily basis
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves
• Participate in large cleaning projects as required
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
• Excellent organizational and team management skills
• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
