The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet established cleanliness, safety, and brand standards. This role provides leadership, training, and support to housekeeping team members while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants and housepersons
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and brand quality standards are met
Assign daily work schedules and manage room assignments based on occupancy and operational needs
Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping associates on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and service standards
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and safety regulations
Monitor productivity and maintain staffing efficiency
Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery situations
Maintain inventory levels of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies
Report maintenance issues and coordinate with Engineering for timely resolution
Assist with onboarding and performance evaluations of team members
Support departmental goals related to guest satisfaction scores and cleanliness metrics
Promote a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment
Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment required
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems preferred
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–40 lbs
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion
Ability to inspect multiple floors and guest rooms daily
