Housekeeping Rooms Coordinator

The Housekeeping Rooms Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department to ensure efficient room readiness and exceptional guest service. This role acts as the key liaison between Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Engineering while maintaining accurate room status and smooth operational flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and room assignments
  • Serve as liaison between Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Engineering
  • Manage room status updates using Opera PMS
  • Track and respond to requests and tickets in ALICE
  • Communicate updates through Sonesta Connect
  • Open, assign, monitor, and close housekeeping and engineering work orders
  • Assist in closing the house and verifying all rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released
  • Maintain housekeeping inventory and assist with ordering supplies and amenities
  • Track and manage uniform inventory for housekeeping staff
  • Support leadership with daily reports, priorities, and operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and cleanliness expectations
  • Duties include, but are not limited to, the responsibilities listed above

Qualifications:

  • Hotel or housekeeping operations experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Opera, ALICE, and hotel communication systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced resort environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
