Business Case: Room attendant

Filling up this position provides me with staff to reduce the use of temporary labor service. The room attendant will be responsible for keeping our guest room clean and sanitized up to the brand standard while providing great customer service assisting our guest when needed.

Key Contributions: Room attendants play an essential role in the housekeeping department as their primary responsibility is to keep guest rooms clean and tidy up to our brand standard while also providing great customer service.

Show current state & missing headcount consequences: We currently have three full-time room attendants. Filling up this position will contribute to creating our in-house room attendant team and not depend on temporary labor service.

What You Will Accomplish
• Anticipate guest expectations
• Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming
• Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed
• Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart daily
• Dispose of trash and recyclables
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Demonstrate teamwork responsiveness when asked to do any task consistent with Hyatt Place standards
• Organized and great attention to detail

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift/move and up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and other office/IT equipment.
