The Housekeeping Public Space Attendant is responsible for maintaining high standards in all assigned lobby areas, public restrooms, special cleaning assignments and performing Room Attendant duties as necessary.

Responsibilities:
• Performs cleaning tasks in public areas including vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
• Returns food & beverage service items found in the public areas to the proper department.
• Must be attentive, helpful and be able to effectively verbally communicate with all level of employees and guests in a friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
• Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests, fellow employees and self.
• Report and deliver lost and found items to the Housekeeping office.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Be familiar with correct guestroom cleaning procedures to assist if needed.
• Before leaving, collect all trash from the service landings and take to/dispose in outside trash dumpsters, per hotel procedures.
• Vacuum guest corridors.
• Keep hallways, public areas and closets neat and organized.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in public restrooms.
• Adhere to the schedule for project cleaning of public areas.
• Maintain the stairwells to hotel standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements:
• Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate in basic conversational English.
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping a plus.
• Ability to move, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-30 pounds.
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
• A Monday - Sunday schedule that allows availability on weekdays, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
