The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role supports infection-control standards, enhances resident comfort, and contributes to the overall quality of care in the facility.

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, dining spaces, therapy areas, and offices.

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces according to facility protocols.

• Perform deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g., high dusting, floor care, wall washing).

• Handle contaminated linens, waste, and biohazard materials following safety guidelines.

• Ensure cleaning chemicals are used and stored safely.

• Interact with residents in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.

• Respond to housekeeping requests from residents and nursing staff.

• Support resident comfort by maintaining a tidy and organized living environment.

• Collect, sort, and distribute linens and laundry as needed.

• Restock housekeeping carts and supply closets.

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.

• Follow daily cleaning schedules, checklists, and facility policies.

• Maintain records when required (e.g., cleaning logs, supply usage).

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and infection control.

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods.

• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
