Job Description

SWOT Hospitality is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee the housekeeping operations of our luxury suites in Ios, Greece.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury hospitality, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and personalized guest service.

As Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every suite and public area reflects the property's luxury standards, creating an impeccable and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the property.
• Ensure that all suites are prepared to the highest luxury standards before guest arrival and maintained throughout each stay.
• Lead, supervise, train, and motivate the housekeeping team, promoting professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Establish and maintain housekeeping procedures, checklists, and quality control standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of suites and common areas to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate closely with the Front Office and other departments to manage arrivals, departures, room status updates, and special guest requests.
• Organize daily cleaning schedules and staff allocation according to occupancy levels and operational requirements.
• Monitor linen, towels, amenities, cleaning supplies, and inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock control and cost management.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team to report and follow up on technical issues, repairs, and maintenance requirements.
• Handle guest requests and housekeeping-related complaints promptly, discreetly, and professionally.
• Monitor departmental expenses and ensure the efficient use of resources without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and the overall guest experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager, Executive Housekeeper, or in a similar supervisory role within luxury hotels, boutique hotels, or high-end villas and suites.
• Strong knowledge of luxury housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures, and quality control.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage, train, and motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Good understanding of inventory management, linen control, and departmental cost management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A guest-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, seasonal hospitality environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Greek and additional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Flexibility and willingness to relocate to Ios for the duration of employment, if required.
