The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead a small, high-performing team at Cradle Mountain.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can confidently run a department end-to-end—leading people, managing rosters and wage budgets, and ensuring consistently high presentation standards for our guests.

You’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while building a positive, accountable team culture in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, coaching and developing a small housekeeping team
  • Managing departmental rosters in line with occupancy and wage budgets
  • Overseeing daily room servicing and public area presentation
  • Maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards across guest and staff facilities
  • Partnering with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitoring room status, reporting maintenance, and driving timely resolution
  • Ensuring team communal areas are clean and well stocked

About You

You’re a confident, hands-on leader who takes ownership of your department and leads from the front.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience managing a housekeeping or similar operational department
  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to build and motivate small teams
  • Experience managing rosters and controlling labour costs/wage budgets
  • A high level of organisation, accountability and attention to detail
  • The ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced and physically active environment
  • A genuine passion for regional Australia and the outback lifestyle

Remote or resort experience is highly regarded, but not essential.

Benefits

  • Relocation support
  • Exclusive staff discounts across G’day Group properties
  • Access to G’day Rewards partner discounts
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

If you’re looking to step into a role where you can truly own your department, lead a close-knit team, and experience one of Australia’s most stunning natural landmarks—this is it.

Apply now and take your career somewhere extraordinary.
