Job Description

The Housekeeping & Maintenance Team Lead role reports to the Maintenance Manager. The role is responsible for supervising and managing housekeeping tasks to ensure standards of cleanliness, safety and customer satisfaction of facility. Daily audits of facility and coaching of housekeeping team. Creation of work orders for repair requirements observed by housekeeping team. Additionally, the position will maintain a critical eye to maintenance needs and deficiencies, and report those to management as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports the maintenance manager to ensure satisfactory completion of housekeeping and/or maintenance tasks identified in scope of work.
  • Ensures housekeeping and general maintenance task lists including day-to-day requests are completed in timely manner.
  • Promotes positive teambuilding environment with facilities, retail and restaurant teams.
  • Inspecting and quality control of all tasks during all working hours. Create plans to complete tasks or correct deficiencies.
  • Train and retrain staff as necessary to uphold cleanliness standards of facility.
  • Ensure supply inventory for housekeeping and maintenance (paper products, restroom supplies, cleaning supplies and chemicals are adequately maintained). Supply orders should be placed weekly with Maintenance Manager.
  • Monitors all housekeeping and/or maintenance equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and coordinate repairs with Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensure appearance standards are upheld regarding cleaning standards and Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD standards).
  • Use CMMS system to complete housekeeping tasks and create maintenance work orders to ensure follow-through and conduct preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Meet daily with Maintenance Manager to evaluate effectiveness of housekeeping and maintenance team and react to improvements as needed.
  • Conduct a weekly walk-through audit with Maintenance Manager. Using Housekeeping Inspection Report and maintenance checklists.
  • Respect and follow all safety and Risk Management guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be Bi-lingual in Spanish reading and writing (Fluent/ Proficient)
  • Previous Janitorial Supervisory experience of 2 years
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must submit to MVR company requirement to drive company vehicle

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Proficient in time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead housekeeping team with little supervision.
  • Ability to operate computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers.
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates.

Starting Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.75
