Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience

  • One year experience in housekeeping, janitorial, maintenance work, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping techniques and the proper use of maintenance and housekeeping equipment.

Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Location Requirement: Onsite

Schedule: 3:00pm-11:30pm Sunday-Thursday

Compensation: $19.8077

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and/or the relief Supervisor, a Housekeeping-Maintenance Worker is someone responsible for performing a variety of routine trade, labor, and housekeeping tasks that require medium physical effort, related to the work site: housekeeping, groundskeeping, sanitation, cleaning, and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

Housekeeping Taks

  • Set up equipment in assigned areas, including conference and dining rooms.
  • Move furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning and care functions.
  • Dust and polish metal lights and fixtures using manual and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Shampoo, steam clean, and maintain curtains, carpets, and drapes.
  • Use appropriate safety equipment to clean ceiling fans and high areas.
  • Clean bathroom areas including sinks, urinals, and toilets.
  • Remove hazardous materials from floors, furniture, and equipment.
  • Wash, strip, steam, vacuum, polish, and wax floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, partitions, windows, and furniture.
  • Maintain an attractive and sanitary environment throughout the facility.

Maintenance Tasks:

  • Maintain tool inventory and ensure all tools are returned at the end of each workday.
  • Perform carpentry installations, repairs, and maintenance of doors, floors, gates, ceilings, furniture, locks, shelves, cabinets, countertops, windows, blinds, and other fixtures.
  • Assist with office and apartment renovations, including drywall, plaster, painting, and staining projects.
  • Open locks when keys are not readily available.
  • Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance including faucets, sinks, toilets, pipes, steam lines, thermostats, and water heaters.
  • Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on motors, lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wiring, and appliances.
  • Operate and maintain heating and water equipment, including replacing filters and pumps.
  • Perform masonry repairs and maintenance including tile and carpet work.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Perform groundskeeping duties including lawn maintenance, bush trimming, and snow removal.
  • Move, load, and unload furniture, equipment, supplies, and client belongings.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance including changing tires, checking fluids, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
  • Submit paperwork on time and follow departmental work request tracking systems.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned in an organized and clean manner.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, stand, and stretch for extended periods.
  • Ability to spend most of the workday on one's feet.
