DUTY STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The salary for this position is $23.00 / Hour.

Job Functions

  • Ensure that the Cedar House facility is cleaned and inspected on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of all areas of housekeeping.
  • Maintain timely and reliable attendance.
  • Assist with inspections of residents’ rooms and overall areas daily.
  • Perform life-saving measures when needed to protect the lives of Cedar House clients and employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Previous housekeeping experience (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of general housekeeping procedures and all machinery involved.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Education:

  • Completed twelve years of education or have a GED.
  • Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates.
  • Maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 20% of the time. They will also need to move around company property in order to perform the required tasks. The employee must be capable of effectively operating, preparing, inspecting, and using company equipment. There may be occasions where the employee needs to climb up or down a ladder or equipment and position themselves to maintain and move necessary items while at work. It is essential for the employee to communicate information and ideas clearly so that others can understand. They must also be able to provide accurate information in these situations. The employee should be able to observe details at close range and occasionally move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds (individually) for various reasons. Additionally, the employee may need to work around or be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
