Responsibilities and Duties
The Director of Housekeeping directly supervises all housekeeping personnel and ensures proper completion of all housekeeping duties. Directs and coordinates the activities of housekeeping, guestroom cleaning, laundry, and cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the hotel. Ensure that all associates are adhering to all hotel policies, standards, procedures, and regulations. Needs to be able to perform in all housekeeping functions. Total responsibility for hiring, training and development of all associates working for housekeeping. Assist general manager in all areas to ensure smooth operations. Ensures that housekeeping operations are working in a timely and professional manner at all times.
- Responsible for the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of all housekeeping and laundry areas. Ensures that all procedures and policies are in place and followed and initiates additional tasks to improve existing procedures and guest satisfaction.
- Conducts audit and controls on a regular basis. Communicates with the Assistant General Manager in case of any irregularities; and coaches and counsels associates whenever appropriate.
- Deal with any guest requests and problems and satisfy their needs within acceptable guidelines.
- Ensure that all VIP guests and repeat guests' rooms are VIP cleaned and serviced.
- Determine weekly schedule, adjust according to business demands.
- Be familiar with cultural differences and know correct behavior for each culture. Also know the different protocols and etiquette.

Qualifications
- Must be capable of working a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of One (1) year Hotel Housekeeping Supervisory Experience
- Experience managing people in a busy environment
- Ability to multitask and complete goals as directed by the General Manager
