Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Housekeepingdepartment in Dubai, the Housekeeping Coordinatoris responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department by coordinating communication between various departments, managing guest requests, and supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service throughout the propertyHousekeeping Coordinatorreports to the Housekeeping Manager
As a Housekeeping Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Act as the main point of contact for the Housekeeping Department, managing communications, handling incoming requests, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Coordinate guest requests and housekeeping services, following up to ensure timely completion and high levels of guest satisfaction.
Manage maintenance requests through the Actabl/Alice system, tracking progress and liaising with relevant departments to ensure prompt resolution.
Maintain housekeeping inventory, monitor room status and occupancy updates, and prioritize cleaning activities based on arrivals, VIP guests, and special requests.
Provide administrative and operational support by preparing reports, managing schedules, tracking team productivity, coordinating workloads, and assisting with staff training.
Support positive colleague and guest relations by addressing operational concerns, monitoring performance, resolving housekeeping-related complaints, and promoting a collaborative team environment.
As a Housekeeping Coordinator, we expect from you:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a vocational diploma in Hospitality or a related field is an advantage.
Minimum two years of experience in a luxury hotel environment, including at least one year as a Housekeeping Coordinator or in a similar role; Middle East experience is preferred.
Strong technical proficiency in Actabl/Alice, Check EAM/SCM, IBS, Oracle, Workday, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Solid understanding of housekeeping operations, inventory management, and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic and additional language skills are considered an advantage.
Detail-oriented, professional, and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.
