Job Description

Glen Park Senior Living is seeking a friendly, attentive, and reliable Housekeeper/Dishwasher to support our residents by maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment. This role is essential in ensuring high standards of cleanliness in resident rooms, common areas, and dining spaces while assisting with meal service and kitchen sanitation.

The ideal candidate enjoys working independently and as part of a team, is energetic and personable, and has a genuine interest in working with older adults.

Duties and Responsibilities

Dining Services & Kitchen Support

  • Serve meals to residents and assist with room tray service for lunch and dinner
  • Assist the Cook with basic meal preparation, considering residents’ dietary needs and preferences
  • Prepare juices, water, iced tea, creamers, salads, desserts, and night snacks
  • Bake cookies for morning snacks
  • Set up tables for meals and prepare silverware
  • Pick up dishes, glasses, and clean tables after meals
  • Wash dishes, carts, cookware, service ware, and kitchen equipment
  • Clean and sanitize pastry machines, milk machines, microwaves, and dining equipment
  • Maintain and clean condiment containers, pitchers, syrup bottles, and sugar holders
  • Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, sanitary, and organized

Housekeeping Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Clean mirrors, windows, blinds, and glass surfaces
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors
  • Make beds and change linens
  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry; iron as needed
  • Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
  • Stock bathrooms with linens, toiletries, and supplies
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report needs for reordering
  • Report maintenance or repair needs promptly
  • Water dining room and patio plants

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of six months of related housekeeping or food service experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to pass a physical exam and criminal background check
  • Negative TB test and health screening
  • Current First Aid and CPR training (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

  • 5 days per week - Tuesday to Saturday
  • 3 days housekeeper, 2 days dishwasher

Additional Requirements

  • Live Scan Fingerprint Clearance
  • Negative Tb test and Health Clearance
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate
