Share your skills, support community, and mentor Indigenous staff in a rewarding housekeeping role in a remote community

The Housekeeping role is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning operations of the TDC Village Accommodation Facility and associated external commercial sites in Wadeye. The position ensures that accommodation rooms, public areas, outdoor areas, and external commercial cleaning sites are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety for all residents, staff, and visitors.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar housekeeping or cleaning roles
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with ability to train and mentor culturally diverse staff

Desirable:

  • Chemical handling/storage certificate
  • Cleaning / House Keeping certificate/s
  • Experience working within indigenous communities

Essential Licences / Clearances

  • National Police check (with assistance)
  • NT Driver’s licence
  • NLC Work & Residential permits (with assistance)

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
