Job Purpose

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in interior common areas, amenities, offices, and vacant apartment homes. This role ensures the community maintains a professional appearance, and units are move-in ready for residents.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize interior common areas including clubhouse, leasing office, hallways, restrooms, fitness centers, and study areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces.
• Remove trash from interior receptacles.
• Clean vacant units including kitchens, bathrooms, floors, cabinets, appliances, and fixtures.
• Assist with move-in readiness inspections and unit turnover preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness of model units and tour paths.
• Restock restroom and amenity supplies as needed.
• Report maintenance issues discovered during cleaning.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and community event preparation.
• Follow all chemical safety and PPE requirements.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory awareness and report shortages.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow cleaning product instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
• Professional customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift cleaning equipment and supplies (10–25 pounds).

Education & Experience

• Less than high school education or equivalent experience preferred.
• Janitorial, hotel, housekeeping, or apartment turnover experience preferred.
