Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager or designee, the Housekeeper (Environmental Support Assistant) plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position supports Highland Hills’ mission by creating a warm, home-like atmosphere where residents can thrive.
What You Will Do
Perform light to thorough housekeeping in resident apartments and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom and kitchen sanitization, and floor care
Complete laundry services such as collecting, washing, folding, and distributing resident linens and garments
Perform deep cleaning of apartments during resident move-outs
Empty trash and recyclables and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas
Report maintenance issues such as lighting or equipment concerns promptly
Follow safety, infection control, and universal precaution practices
Interact respectfully with residents, honoring privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Anticipate resident needs and go above and beyond to maintain a comfortable, welcoming environment
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in assisted living or with the geriatric population preferred
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Basic computer skills and strong organizational abilities
