Job Description
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for responding to guest calls for service in a prompt, courteous, and thorough manner. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining the public and employee areas of the resort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be completely familiar with complex and outlying areas
• Provide exceptional guest service for internal and external guests.
• Keep pager, radios, vans and keys safe and secure at all times. Ensure these items are turned in at shift end.
• Respond immediately to all pages received
• Always follow “knocking on doors” procedure as outlined in part one of your housekeeping department employee manual, when delivering items to guest rooms
• Report any unusual circumstances to your supervisor.
• Offer all assistance possible to your guests
• Immediately report to your supervisor or the housekeeping office any damage of furniture or furnishings
• Maintain equipment in good condition. Report all maintenance problems to the housekeeping department
• Good rapport with fellow employees and reflect positive attitude. Provide a teamwork atmosphere.
• Perform other housekeeping job duties asked of you during your shift.
• Must follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain open line of communication with supervisor, other housekeeping staff, as well as all other departments
• Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort. (green mission statement, actively participate in resort and departmental recycling program, etc)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must possess current valid Michigan Drivers License and be insurable by the GTRS standards.

• Good customer service skills as there will be frequent contact with other employees and guests.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Constant walking/standing.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ear pieces must be worn at all times so as to not interfere with our guests’ stay.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
