Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for all housekeeping services for the clubhouse and its outlets to include tennis, halfway house, golf and wellness. This position ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics in all club buildings, common areas and staff areas and performs all housekeeping department projects and programs. Has knowledge of the Club safety policies and procedures and follows and enforces these policies.
Job Functions include:
- Dust rooms and furniture.
- Cleans restrooms; restocks restroom supplies.
- Vacuums carpets and mops floors throughout the club including dining areas.
- Sweeps patio area and dusts patio furniture.
- Empties all wastebaskets and ashtrays.
- Disinfects telephones.
- Buffs and polishes floors.
- Cleans and polishes brass.
- Washes inside and outside of windows.
- Shampoos carpets.
- Reports any damage, burned-out light bulbs and plumbing problems to the maintenance or housekeeping departments.
- Takes trash to the dumpster.
- Polishes glass, table surfaces, counters, shelves, desks, office equipment and door handles.
- Moves furniture.
- Cleans locker room areas including showers and bath areas.
- Cleans walls throughout the clubhouse as necessary.
- Maintains outside of clubhouse building (cleans walkways, patios and entrances).
- Maintains the pool area including changing rooms and restrooms.
- Cleans exterior of HVAC vents.
- Conducts deep-cleaning projects.
- Cleans all restrooms on the golf course and at revenue outlet locations.
- Assists with tables, chairs and other furniture needed for special events.
- Completes all tasks as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping or the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Cleans employee restrooms.
- Cleans cigarette containers at entrances.
- Vacuums elevators; clean stairwells and landings; dust ceiling light fixtures; do spot cleaning as necessary; checks drapes for needed repairs and missing hooks.
- Transports linen to and from the linen or laundry room.
- Attends departmental staff meetings as scheduled.
- Completes required computer-based training courses through CLI within the required time frame.
- Uses Member Name Game and participates in contests as a learning tool.
- Is responsible for knowing CCC Employee Policies and working by the CCC Mission Statement.

- Ability to work well with others.
- Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
- Capable of lifting up to fifty (50) pounds or more.
- Capable of standing and maneuvering independently and safely around the work area.
- Capable of standing on a tile floor for an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to see and hear, or to use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure those position requirements can be fully met.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machinery, such as washer, dryer, vacuum cleaner, floor washers, etc.
- Subject to moderate physical and emotional stress associated with housekeeping duties. Performance of job tasks will involve exposure to cleaning chemicals requiring precautions.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, reach, pull and push.
