Job Description

This position will be responsible for all of Frost Valley’s housekeeping needs, which includes the condition/cleanliness of lodges, cabins and all designated public facilities. The ability to communicate and work well with other departments regarding guest services and maintenance issues is essential.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness in all lodges, cabins and designated public areas according to housekeeping department procedures and quality standards.
  • Deliver linens where required.
  • Strip and make of beds, and prepare rooms as required (motel style).
  • Clean under mattresses, behind beds and inside drawers (bunk style).
  • Dust and clean all surfaces.
  • Vacuum, sweep or mop floors where required.
  • Clean and prepare bathrooms using prescribed cleaners and methods.
  • Remove all garbage and recyclables from buildings.
  • Collect and transport used linens to the laundry facility.
  • Fold blankets and store with pillows where required.
  • Report all repair needs using maintenance requests.
  • Monitor and replenish all housekeeping supplies in buildings as required.
  • Collect and record all lost & found items.
  • Maintain designated housekeeping storage areas.
  • Maintain the laundry facility and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Operating the washer and dryer equipment.
  • Fold all laundry to the required standard.
  • Ensure the linen closet is stocked and orderly.
  • Ensure the housekeeping vehicles are clean and properly fueled.
  • Ensure that the safety procedures and policies are followed and applied correctly.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Minimum age required is 18 years old
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Requires physical stamina for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work well with children of various ages
  • Able to stand for long period of time
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times
