About the role

Primrose School of Tampa Palms is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented cleaner and housekeeper to help keep our preschool clean, orderly, and welcoming. This part-time position may grow into full-time based on the center’s needs and the employee’s performance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and other facility areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean floors; wipe surfaces and clean windows as needed.
• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, toys, fixtures, and frequently touched surfaces according to center procedures.
• Clean restrooms and replenish soap, paper products, and other supplies.
• Empty trash and recycling, and collect and launder cleaning cloths or linens if needed.
• Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized and stored safely, out of children’s reach.
• Follow product labels and the center’s health, safety, and cleaning procedures.
• Report maintenance needs, spills, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks on schedule and help maintain a tidy, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and use cleaning products safely.
• Able to perform the physical duties of the role, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting routine cleaning supplies.
• Willing to meet the center’s hiring and screening requirements.
