Part-Time Housekeeper

Pay: $15.50/hour | Status: Part-Time

About the Role

We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you'll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents throughout our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of all public and common areas, including the lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
  • Clean and maintain resident rooms and bathrooms
  • Keep handrails clean and free of debris
  • Clean dust, dirt, and food residue from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and towel dispensers
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Follow proper safety protocols, including use of caution signage and keeping cleaning supplies/chemicals secured and out of residents' reach
  • Operate cleaning supplies and equipment safely, per manufacturer instructions
  • Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, sanitary, and organized
  • Promptly report resident safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need to be restocked

What We're Looking For

  • A positive attitude and strong customer service skills
  • Good time management and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to solve practical, everyday problems on the job
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a long-term care facility preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • Regularly sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read, and hear throughout the shift
  • Comfortable with routine use of housekeeping supplies/equipment and basic office equipment (copier/scanner/fax, phone, calculator)

Work Environment

Indoor environment with generally low-to-moderate noise levels.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory duties.
