We are searching forHousekeepersto join our agency. We have openings throughout the Capital District.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs the functions and carries out the responsibilities for housekeeping, laundry, and shopping services
  • May be assigned work in one or more programs, based on the needs of the division

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow directions, communicate, perform simple math functions and know basic weights and measures
  • Specialized license and training: Must have reliable transportation and a valid NYS Driver’s License, as obtaining Center authorized driver status within the first six months of employment is required.
  • Less than 1 year of job related experience, specifically in housekeeping or related field

Compensation Range:

$17.60 - $18.42

For over 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.

The Center for Disability Services provides comprehensive Health Care, residential services, education, adult programming, service coordination and skilled nursing care to individuals with disabilities. In addition, we have a commercial printing, inserting, and mailing operation that is supported by a workforce of over 200 individuals with disabilities.

Our annual budget is approximately $129 million dollars and we employ over 2,700 workers in over 80 locations. The Center also has a Foundation that supports many of the necessary services that are not funded by other sources.
