This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and mature caregiver to provide household support and assistance for an individual who needs help managing daily tasks and maintaining a safe, clean living environment. The home currently requires significant cleaning and organizational support, with the expectation that responsibilities will gradually decrease as the client transitions to a potential new apartment.
 
This position is ideal for someone who is patient, nonjudgmental, and willing to assist with tasks that may be physically demanding or involve a higher level of household cleaning than typical caregiving roles.

Compensation: $16.32/hour
Availability Needed: Flexible afternoon hours - Up to 20 hours/week to start.
Commitment: Reliability, understanding, and clear communication are essential.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Remove household trash
  • Transport and assist with laundromat trips (no laundry facilities in the home)
  • Pick up medications and assist with pharmacy errands
  • Clean and sanitize the bathroom
  • Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
  • Clean out and organize the refrigerator
  • Assist with grocery shopping and transportation (client may want to accompany caregiver)
  • Provide general household organization and support
  • Encourage and assist with maintaining a cleaner living environment

Ideal Caregiver
  • Be dependable, patient, and respectful
  • Be comfortable working in a home that currently requires extensive cleaning and organization
  • Have reliable transportation and be willing to drive for errands, grocery shopping, medication pickups, and laundromat trips
  • Be mature and comfortable working independently
  • Understand that the client may experience mood swings or difficult days and may not always communicate her needs clearly
  • Be flexible, empathetic, and able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Maintain a nonjudgmental and supportive attitude
  • Respect the client's dignity and independence while providing needed assistance

Qualifications
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
  • Ability to perform household cleaning and lifting associated with trash removal, laundry, and grocery assistance.
  • Comfortable around family pets.
  • Strong communication skills, kindness, and dependability.
  • Must pass caregiver and criminal background checks.
