Do you take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and enjoy making a positive difference in people's day? Join Eureka Villages as a Housekeeper and play an important role in maintaining a comfortable, safe and inviting environment where our residents feel truly at home.

Why Eureka?

At Eureka Villages, we believe retirement living is about more than providing accommodation. We create welcoming communities where residents feel safe, connected and genuinely at home.

Our Housekeeping team plays a vital role in creating that experience by ensuring our shared spaces are clean, comfortable and well presented. Every interaction with residents and guests helps reinforce the warm and supportive community we're proud to provide.

Guided by our values of Putting People First, Embracing the Challenge, Committing and Following Up, Acting with Purpose and Building Belonging, you'll join an organisation committed to creating places people are proud to call home.

What's the role?

We're looking for a Housekeeper to join our Kin Kora Village on a casual basis, working approximately 25 hours per week

Reporting to the Village Manager, you'll help maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the village while providing friendly, professional service to our residents and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning communal areas including reception, hallways, bathrooms and shared facilities
  • Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising and replenishing supplies
  • Removing rubbish and maintaining a clean, organised environment
  • Supporting laundry duties as required
  • Providing basic assistance to residents and guests, including front desk support when needed
  • Reporting maintenance issues, hazards or equipment faults promptly
  • Maintaining accurate housekeeping records
  • Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Supporting a welcoming and respectful environment for residents and visitors

What's in it for you?

At Eureka, we know our people are central to our success.

You'll enjoy:

  • Casual employment with approximately 25 hours per week
  • $33.85 per hour under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award
  • Purpose-driven work where you genuinely make a difference every day
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Meaningful relationships with residents and colleagues
  • Working for an organisation that values kindness, teamwork and community

What's it like working for Eureka?

No two days are exactly the same.

One moment you'll be preparing a shared space for residents to enjoy, and the next you'll be greeting someone with a friendly smile or helping ensure the village looks its absolute best.

Your work goes beyond cleaning. It helps create a welcoming community where residents feel respected, comfortable and proud to call Eureka home.

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining high standards and understands the importance of delivering exceptional service.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in commercial or residential housekeeping
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Friendly, respectful communication skills
  • An understanding of safe chemical handling and workplace health and safety practices
  • Physical capability to undertake manual housekeeping duties
  • A genuine passion for creating positive experiences for older Australians
  • A National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check (or willingness to obtain)
