Althea Park, Stroud, Gloucestershire is a residential eating disorder service for young people, offering 10 beds in a therapeutic environment alongside a 3-bedded step-down semi-independent service (The Anchor). What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the service, focusing on communal and staff areas rather than residents' bedrooms.
  • Clean and maintain shared spaces, including lounges, kitchens, dining areas, hallways, bathrooms, and staff facilities to a high standard.
  • Monitor, order, and organise cleaning supplies and household stock to ensure essential items are always available.
  • Use our simple digital system to record completed cleaning tasks and maintain accurate daily records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and administration to support the smooth running of the service.
You can find additional information in the attached job description.

What you'll bring to the role

We're looking for someone who has previous cleaning or housekeeping experience, although this is not essential. You'll be comfortable using a tablet or smartphone to complete simple online task logs and be able to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation. Most importantly, you'll be compassionate, respectful, and committed to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for people receiving support within a mental health care setting.

We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
