Nursery Cleaner
Little Explorers, Knighton

Salary £26,437 FTE (depending on experience and qualifications with
regular pay reviews)

Our Little Explorers Nursery in Knighton, is currently looking for a Cleaner to join our team. They will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.

Our Curriculum
Our Early Years curriculum encourages creativity, independence, and key developmental skills through engaging activities that support communication, physical development, problem-solving, and understanding of the world. Our Team
Our experienced team includes many long-serving staff members, creating a familiar and nurturing environment where children feel safe and valued. All staff are first-aid trained and committed to supporting every child’s confidence, independence, and love of learning.
Parent Partnerships
We work closely with families through regular updates via the Grandir UK app, keeping parents informed about their child’s learning and daily experiences. Seasonal events, celebrations, and Stay and Play sessions help families stay connected to nursery life.

Children move between rooms based on their individual readiness, ensuring a child-centred transition.
Outdoor Learning
Our outdoor area includes lawned play spaces, a sandpit, loose-parts equipment, and gardening opportunities, encouraging physical development, imagination, and exploration.
Activities & Community Links
Children enjoy Sing and Sign, Make and Bake, and a range of creative and sensory experiences. Regular community outings, including visits to local shops, help children learn about healthy living and the world around them.

What will you be doing
Daily tasks will include:
• Cleaning of children and staff bathrooms
• Hoovering all carpeted areas of the nursery
• Sweeping and mopping the nursery’s hard floors
• Emptying all general waste bins
Weekly tasks will include:
• A damp clean of all skirting boards
• Cleaning all glass door panels
• Cleaning all door handles
• A damp clean of all windowsills
Monthly tasks will include:
• A deep clean of all nursery carpets
• A thorough dusting of the nursery
