Title: Housekeeper

Location: Upper East Side

Org Unit: Evening Services - Clinical (WGC) 2

Work Days: Weekdays and some weekends

Weekly Hours: 35.00

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $21.59 - $23.52

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices

Under direct supervision, is responsible for maintaining a clean environment and providing general assistance during emergencies for the facilities assigned to

Job Responsibilities

  • Documents and provides updates on work performed.
  • Performs detailed cleaning of all facilities. Disinfects, mops and vacuums as necessary. Removes trash, recyclables, regulated medical waste, restocks supplies and sanitizes surfaces. Coordinates work with occupants to minimize disruptions.
  • Identifies and escalates potential problems and areas requiring special cleaning.
  • Performs specialty cleaning of furniture, glass, kitchens, refrigerators, and exhibit cases.
  • Monitors and reports all lighting issues.

Education

  • May vary

Experience

Approximately 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, housekeeping or custodial services.

If role requires use of WCM vehicle for business use, must have valid New York State driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, verbally and in written form.
