PRIMARY DETAIL

• Location: Macquarie University Hospital, North Ryde, Dharug land
• Appointment Type: Casual
• Classification: $36.10 hourly (incl. casual loading) plus 12% superannuation

The Role- Housekeeper

  • Immediate start for an experienced and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team at Macquarie University Hospital on a Casual basis.

  • Multiple shifts are available, suits flexible availabilities (Mornings, Afternoons, and Nights)

Key Accountabilities of a Housekeeper include (but not limited to):

  • Maintain a high standard of cleaning quality across the hospital and clinic buildings

  • Work to job specifications in line with MUH and housekeeping policies and procedures

  • Demonstrate versatility across all facets of detail cleaning including (but not limited to) floors, bathrooms, offices, fixtures and fittings

  • Deliver excellent service to clients, staff and visitors

  • Participates in audit preparation and auditing processes

  • Ensures all mandatory training and competencies for a Housekeeper are completed in a timely manner

  • Demonstrates a willingness to work positively within a team to achieve team goals and the provision of excellence in service delivery

  • Participates in and contributes to occupational health and safety activities to ensure a safe work environment for self, clients, community, staff and visitors

  • Complies with obligations under Work Health and Safety Act 2012

  • Ensures incidences are reported accurately and in a timely manner

About You

Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for meeting of quality standards and versatility in all facets of detail cleaning across Macquarie University Hospital and Clinics. The successful candidate will have worked as a Housekeeper/Cleaner, providing good customer service and achieving high quality cleaning standards within a healthcare, industrial, or hospitality facility. Having worked in a relevant setting, you will have a good eye for detail, values communication & teamwork, and determined to accomplish work allocations within specified service timeframes.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
