Job Description

Housekeeper
Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community currently has opportunities to join our incredible  Housekeeping Team! This position helps maintain the spotless first impression that everyone gets when they enter our facility. A qualified candidate will be able to work independently, be flexible and have initiative to complete assigned job tasks in timely manner. This is a Full-Time  position with excellent benefits. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. We will provide you with the training and tools you need to be successful!
  Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with a weekend requirement about once a month

Compensation:  $11.50-$14.49/hour, dependent upon experience


Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
  • Performs daily and weekly tasks, such as mopping dusting, vacuuming, etc. 
  • Disinfect and sanitize with proper chemicals starting at the door and continue around the room to the bathroom last.
  • Using proper safety measures at all times; emptying trash; stocking housekeeping supply closet.
  • Removes trash and recycling, as needed. 
  • Keeps assigned area clean and presentable.
  • Promotes and maintains harmonious and effective working relationships. 
Requirements:
  • Previous Housekeeping experience a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families.
  • Demonstrates high level of customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates independent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Accepts additional job responsibilities and schedule changes as they arise.
  • Works well independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules.
