Compensation: $16.19 - $18.31 / hour


Schedule: Part Time | 24 hours per week | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm | Varying weekdays

What You'll Do In This Role:
Help create a place that truly feels like home. As a Housekeeper at Meadowlark Retirement Village, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for Elders, team members, and visitors. Through thoughtful attention to detail, you’ll handle a variety of tasks ensuring every space is comfortable and well cared for. With a warm, respectful approach, you’ll also build positive connections with residents and their families, contributing to a supportive atmosphere that enhances everyday living.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other surfaces, including appliances and fixtures.
  • Dust, polish, vacuum, and mop floors, furniture, carpets, and rugs.
  • Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and hallways.
  • Change linens, restock supplies, and empty trash in designated areas.
  • Follow cleaning schedules, procedures, and maintain organized supply storage.

Health and Safety

  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Elder-Centered Support:

  • Maintain respect for Elders privacy and personal belongings while performing cleaning tasks in their rooms.
  • Respond to Elders housekeeping requests promptly and courteously.
  • Foster a homelike and welcoming environment by paying attention to details such as organizing and tidying up spaces.

Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to Elders or guests requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of all areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or residential setting is a plus.
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
