Job Shift Any

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the building in a clean, orderly, safe condition as outlined in Birch’s Health and Facility Safety Checklist. The Housekeeper performs routine cleaning duties, removing trash, maintaining a schedule of deep cleaning activities, reporting maintenance issues within the residences as they arise, and notifying management of the need for repairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform routine cleaning duties (i.e., regular dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and garbage disposal, etc.).
  • Perform cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and common living areas in residence.
  • Reports all facilities or maintenance issues and hazardous conditions to Residence Manager or designee in a timely manner.
  • Follow sanitizing checklist as it relates to COVID-19.
  • Performs other duties as required.



Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School Diploma/ GED

EXPERIENCE

Min. 1-2 years of housekeeper experience in health, treatment, residential program or related setting

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to effectively present information to management in verbal and written formats.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
  • Pack household supplies in their designated area when delivered weekly.

Reasoning Skills

  • Ability to work within general guidelines and minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute responsibilities.

Physical Demands

  • Required to lift boxes of items delivered to the residence on a weekly basis.
  • Required to operate household cleaning equipment.

Work Environment

  • The residence must be clean, orderly/neat, and free of trip hazards and harmful chemicals.
