Job Description

The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMPs, and OSHA regulations. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing various areas including offices, common areas, restrooms, and conference rooms. The Housekeeper will also handle stocking supplies, managing housekeeping equipment, and assisting with event setups. Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team are essential.

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (OT as needed)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Housekeeper will perform a variety of housekeeping activities to keep the facility clean and sanitary
  • Housekeeping tasks must be performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMPs) and OSHA Compliance
  • Individual must maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information especially while cleaning Executive and Manager Offices
  • Must take responsibility and accountability for assigned areas
  • Maintain positive interactions with staff in all departments and assist with events, moves, etc
  • Maintain professional appearance
  • Monitor the usage of housekeeping supplies and equipment
  • Must be available for mandatory overtime

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document detailed cleaning schedules for assigned section
  • Follow manufacturer instructions for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment in order to prevent personal harm and facility damage
  • Clean building floors including sweeping, vacuuming and mopping of corridors, stairwells, lobby and other entrances
  • Cleaning of common areas including dusting, sweeping and vacuuming of conference rooms and cafeterias
  • Ensure that restrooms are clean and sanitized at all times
  • Stock cafeterias and restrooms with supplies (paper products, soap, cups, etc.) as needed
  • Gather and empty trash on a daily basis or as needed and transport to disposal areas
  • Set up, arrange, and remove food, decorations, tables, and chairs, to prepare for events and meetings
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
  • Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs
  • Responsible for the organization of supplies and equipment in supply rooms and closets.
  • Perform other duties related to this position
  • Liaise with other housekeeping staff during requested time off to ensure adequate coverage

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform routine repetitive daily tasks, despite frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Must be able to kneel, crouch, stand for long periods
  • Wear personal protective equipment as needed
