Household Manager and Family Assistant
Mission, BC
Full-time, salaried | 40 hours per week
CAD $65,000 – $75,000 annually
ASAP
We're a busy, high energy household in Mission, BC — full of laughter, activity, and the occasional beautiful chaos that comes with family life. We’re looking for someone who can embrace the energy of our home while bringing the organization and systems that help everything run smoothly. Both parents work from home (transitioning to two days per week outside the house this fall), and we have two young kids who keep life wonderfully full. Extended family is closely involved and present in the home, which we love, but it also means the household runs at a pace that requires real organization to stay ahead of.
We travel regularly, and our lives have a lot of moving parts. This role will occasionally manage travel related logistics and coordinate routine maintenance and household needs across locations as needed.
We don’t always have time to create a roadmap, which is exactly why we’re looking for someone who can walk into a home, understand what needs to happen, and confidently take ownership from there. We're warm and deeply appreciate the people we invite into our home. We also value professionalism, privacy, and clear working boundaries. We're looking for a trusted, long-term partner who will bring calm, structure, and competence to our day-to-day.
You walk into a space and immediately see what needs attention — not because someone told you, but because that's just how you operate. You finish one task and instinctively look around for the next. You're seasoned, self-directed, and take quiet pride in running a home well.
You’re flexible and understand that a salaried role with schedule flexibility means genuine give-and-take, and you’re comfortable with that trade-off. You bring discretion to everything you do — whether that’s handling sensitive household information, coordinating family logistics, occasionally assisting extended family who live nearby while the family is traveling, or simply knowing when to stay in the background.
You're a strong communicator, deeply reliable, and you understand that trust is built over time through consistency.
Ideally, you're at a stage where the flexibility of this role aligns well with your schedule. You have the availability to accommodate shifting hours when needed and appreciate the give-and-take that comes with a flexible, salaried position.
These responsibilities are intended to provide an overview of the role. As the family's needs evolve, the Household Manager may be asked to take on other reasonable household management, personal assistant, and family support responsibilities that fall within the overall scope of the position.
